Terms of Service

Effective 17 June 2026 · Free beta

These terms govern your use of Sonder Drift (“Sonder”, “we”, “us”). By signing up you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service. We’ve written these to be readable — please actually read them.

What Sonder is

Sonder is a personal catch-up assistant. It helps you maintain your friendships by nudging you when it’s been too long, helping you find a time and place, and sending an invite on your behalf. It is currently a free, invite-only beta — which means it’s still being built, some things may break, and features may change or disappear.

Beta disclaimer

Sonder is provided as-is during the beta period. We make no guarantees about uptime, availability, or that any specific feature will remain. We may reset data, change how things work, or pause the service at any time. We’ll try to give you notice if something significant changes, but we can’t always promise that.

Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use Sonder. You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. If you think your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@sonderdrift.social.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Sonder to harass, spam, or contact people without their consent.
  • Add friends’ personal details without a reasonable basis to do so.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service or its underlying AI.
  • Use Sonder for any unlawful purpose.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Your content and your friends' data

You own the information you put into Sonder. By using the service you give us permission to use that information to operate it — to generate responses, suggest catch-ups, and send invites on your behalf.

When you add a friend’s details, you’re responsible for having a legitimate reason to share that information with us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle friend data.

Intellectual property

The Sonder name, design, and the way the assistant works are ours. We’re not granting you any licence to use them beyond what’s needed to use the service normally.

No warranties

To the extent permitted by law, Sonder is provided without warranties of any kind — express or implied. We don’t warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular catch-up will actually get organised (we’re good, but we’re not magic).

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sonder and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, during the free beta, is nothing.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service grows. If we make a material change we’ll let you know by email or by a notice in the app. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Victoria, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
